Hot tube, delicious soup for dinner, neibourhood, nice and special owner, the old house with soul, comfy bed, hairdryer in bathroom, waffles for breakfast

The property location is wonderful. It is quintessential Iceland which is why so many artists have stayed there over the years. The main attraction is the heartfelt welcome from the host. His open table, hearty soup and fantastic waffles. The views from the hot tub are sensational. Accommodation is basic, comfortable and extremely clean. This isn’ a 5* hotel. Don’t expect room service or a spa.

Warm rooms with plenty of space for four and private bathroom too. Dinner and breakfast from the host was lovely and a real treat, eating with the other guests. Quiet and peaceful location that makes for a good aurora spot if the clouds keep away. Great location for husafell and reykholt.

As soon as we arrived at the accommodation, they treated us to delicious Icelandic-style waffles, and the next day, Grandpa's homemade breakfast was special and delicious. There's also a hot spring bath that we can use, which is very relaxing.
