Our stay at Villa Rubeshibe was absolutely wonderful. It has beautifully designed interiors, and was the perfect size for our multigenerational family of 8 - 2 adults and 2 kids took the bigger family-sized Japanese-style room with ensuite bathroom, 2 adults in the second room and another 2 adults in the 3rd. There is a huge living room and couch where we lounged after dinner, and an 8-seater dining table where we gathered over meals. We stayed in one of the nights and made dinner comfortably because of a lack of restaurant options on a Monday night in Biei. Two-in-1 oven and microwave (would reco only using one function at a time, the residual oven heat would be too hot for microwaving something), 4 stoves, lots of kitchen utensils and serving plates, a wide variety of wine and sake glasses (white, red, burgundy, champagne flutes, sake pot and glasses etc). The host was great, walking us through the property and explaining how to use the various amenities upon check-in, and sending us off on check-out. We also appreciated all the little touches - many complimentary bottles of juice and bottled water, the nespresso machine and capsules in the kitchen AND every single room, herbal tea from the region, etc. There is also a large jacuzzi tub with jets - use it!!

The villa is more beautiful than the pictures showing. You can see mix of old Japanese house and modern fixtures. Worth to spend some time appreciate the historic doors, cabinets, wooden structures etc while enjoying the new renovated and clean furnitures. The villa has more than what you expected - amenities, cooking utensils, seasonings, coffee beans, towels, entertainment facilities. You won't get bored just by discovering how much owner has prepared for you and make you feel like home. The air-con (with heater and cooler) in bedrooms has power outage few times at night. Owner has already reminded us therefore we know how to re-set. But have to be woken up few times at night to fix the power. It's normal living in independent house and under extreme cold weather, you just need to be prepared for this and be chill. Check with the owner whether BBQ glass house and the outdoor jacuzzi is opened during your stay. It was closed during our stay.

This is a wonderful B&B! The owners are very friendly and welcoming. The house is beautifully designed, our room was very comfortable and VERY clean, and we enjoyed the heated toilet seat :) The bed was so comfortable, we had the best sleep since arriving in Hokkaido. The breakfast was delicious. The rooms are on the first floor and there is no elevator, but this no problem at all. The owner helps to carry the luggage up and down. The location is amazing, beautifully view out of the windows, with no buildings in front. It is a bit out of town, and to have a car is helpful. But they also offer a pick up service. If we will come back to this region we will definitely book again. Thanks for a great stay.

WE LOVE THE LOCATION AND SPACE. ORIGINALLY WAS LOOKING FOR AIR CON BUT THEN REALISE THAT WE DIDNT NEED IT AT NIGHT COS IT WAS COLD. WE HAVE EVERYTHING PROVIDED FOR US AND WE LOVE THE KITCHEN WHERE WE CAN HAVE SIMPLE BREAKFST MEAL. THE HOUSE IS ALSO NEAR TO MANY FLOWER FARM AND WE USE THIS AS OUR BASE. WE LOVE OUR ROOMS SO COMFORTABLE AND WE ALL SLEPT SO WELL DURING OUR 3 NIGHTS STAY HERE.

The place best I could’ve asked for my birthday! The highest hotel and Onsen in Hokkaido, this place felt special and perfect for winter. The Onsen was amazing, and the staff was super nice and helpful. I did a snow shoe trek to a frozen waterfall and the guide (Aono-san) was the best guide I could've asked for. It was tough but worth every second. I had a wonderful time here and the best birthday of my life.

lovely little place with a fantastic owner. everything was super clean and ordered and the lady who ran it was charming. Very anxious to make sure that everything was good for us. It’s shared bathroom but there are two on different floors and not that many rooms so it was not an issue. The house is on the outskirts of town surrounded by countryside and very peaceful. We very much enjoyed staying here.
