Cause it's a new hotel, everything is spotlessly clean and fresh. It's a great location, has a fantastic team, and has a stunning design and view. You have a 360-degree view of the valley, and you won't find that anywhere else. The hotel was even more beautiful than the photos. I had no problems at all. It's the best in Kathmandu. I'll be back. One of the best place for hospitality. Room was neat and clean. Uncle and aunty were super friendly always with a smile in their face. Not to mention their thoughtfulness. Plus uncle can cook fabulous dishes which are tasty clean and healthy. The smell when uncle cook is devine. Over all I would recommend this hostel all day everyday over anything else.

Shivapuri is a very special unique place, catering to all types of travellers. This is the second time that I am staying at Shivapuri and it feels like home. The owners and staff are beyond accommodating and helpful and kind. Every time I have stayed here I choose the tent option because they are the most cosy, luxury and spacious tents I have ever stayed in and the views of the surrounding hills and Kathmandhu are incredible ! I chose this place because it offers a place to rest away from the intensity of the city but not so far away that you can't get into town easily. It really is set in the most perfect location, you can choose if you want to spend the day in nature or visit the temples in Kathmandu centre. The food is exceptional, all home grown and home made and catered to your every need. I cannot recommend this place more, I will definitely come back here when I return to Nepal, it is perfect for travelling alone or with your loved ones. Thank you Shivapuri for making my stay so happy and welcoming and I look forward to visiting again soon !

    Amazing hotel with comfortable, majestic rooms and beautiful bathrooms. The hotel grounds is so beautiful. The restaurants are also very good. The spa was clean and good massages, but little noisy so it was difficult to relax and enjoy the session. The location is good and safe, with nearby shops. Overall a great experience.

    Stylish design, spacious, quiet, comfortable bed, nice jacuzzi and sauna and good food. Noone playing loud music or smoking, which was amazing... Most pleasant was just the whole feel of the place, it's really a hideaway from everything unpleasant in Kathmandu... Feels like a little oasis
