Super friendly hosts who helped us a lot, offered to pick us up, take us to hire gear at echoland (with discount at affiliated store), take us to deliver our luggage and send us to the station upon checking out. Booked restaurants for us too since we didn't have a local phone number. Thank you so much! Great accommodation, very cosy and nice atmosphere, vending machine inside, 2 onsen rooms (one of which has an outdoor onsen too, very nice in the snow) which can be used privately by booking each day. Drying room for ski gear is very convenient. Short walking distance (<5 min) to free local bus stop to goryu, happo, iwatake and also to echoland base camp for the hakuba valley shuttle. Buses only run a few each day and finish pretty early, best to not miss the last one as getting a taxi can be a pain! Breakfast needs to be booked by 10am from the previous day, but it's amazing, highly recommended.

After a day of hiking, skiing or cycling, guests can relax in the garden or in the shared lounge area. Amazing place! I spent around 1.5 month there (probably one of their longest-stayed guest) for the ski season from mid Feb and It felt like a luxurious home. Koki and Naomi were super nice and friendly, and they kept the fireplace going every night so that you always feel the warmth. I invited my friend over to taste the heavenly dinner prepared by the hosts and they even didn't charge me for my dinner nights because of my long stay, which was very generous and sweet of them. The lodge was super well-quipped and so its very good for long stay too. It was hard to leave the beautiful place; would definitely love to return if I have the chance! Thanks a lot for the lovely experience!

Three of us stayed here for 5 days. We had the best time! The accommodation was extremely clean and comfortable with great facilities, including a storage area for all of our ski and snowboard gear. There’s also a bus station right down the street that takes you to Iwatake (which you can then transfer to another bus that takes you to every resort.) The best part were the owners — they were so kind and welcoming even though we did not speak Japanese. They cooked us breakfast and dinner and both were so delicious. We highly recommend and would definitely stay again! Thank you so much for the wonderful stay😁
