The family helped us arrange a tuktuk in the early hours for the hike up Pidurangala Rock and recommended visiting Sigiriya Rock for sunset, which was amazing. The cottage was comfortable, the pool fantastic on these hot, sultry December days, and the wildlife amazing: monkeys, peacocks, and nearby elephants which we glimpsed in the dark. Best of all was the delicious home-cooked Sri Lankan food, and the kind and friendly family. It is a little way out of the village but this is easily accessed by tuktuk. It is Aldo nice and quiet. Highly recommended.

Just a really good host! Felt like having a second mom 🥹 She was waiting till late evening, knowing I come back. Even in the early morning (sunrise hike) she woke up with me and waited till I got picked up 🫣 I got a breakfast to go in the morning I left. Just thank you!
