Welcoming from the second you arrive. Accommodated a very early check in and at short notice. The hotel does a great job at being very elegant and sophisticated but doesn’t feel stuffy and has a great atmosphere. If you’re coming to Rio, I wouldn’t have any second thoughts about staying here. I’ve been to Emiliano, Sheraton and Hyatt in Rio and they don’t even come close!

Check the weather before going up there, otherwise you might not be even able to see the statue due to dense fog/clouds. Also mind that you need to pay an entry fee No matter if you walk or take the train.

Go early in the morning to avoid all the selfie-obsessed InstaFacers that constantly stop, blocking the way for everyone trying to enjoy the monument or views - and take insect repellant. The statue itself is a magnificant thing
