Several trails surround its shores, with guided tours taking adventurous hikers straight into the lush greenery of what’s known as Bear Country. Take a gondola at the nearby ski resort, where you’ll soar into the mountains – catching glimpses of the wildlife such as lynx, grizzlies and wolves along the way.

    Beautiful.

Beautiful. Go in June before the crowds and go early in the morning. Most people stay around the hotel but if you walk along the lakeshore, there will be fewer people. The hike to Lake Agnes Tea House is well worth the effort. Same for the Plain of Six Glaciers.

Went in May and it was easy to book accommodation and get around. However Lake Louise Gondola doesnt open till end of the month-old Banff Gondola open year round. Best meal at the Train Station where we ate outside and watched the Rocky Mountaineer arrive. Visited the lake by Parks bus as it's $ 21 to park and only $ 11 by bus.Beautiful lake with lots of walks from it.Best to go early to miss crowds. However the routes are quite steep ! Imagine it will be packed out in the summer.

It's a gorgeous looking place on a sunny day, though expect everything to be expensive. Watch where you put your feet though - the ground isn't necessarily even, and if you stumble and twist your ankle it can be a slow painful hobble back even to the bus stop (been there, done that).

I think the hotel rate is much much too high for what is received. We paid approx $600 per night. That rate for a very average "motel" room with no special amenities is taking advantage of the location (without benefit of any view or access to anything...is not going to encourage repeat patronage. For a few hundred more one could stay at d Chateau Lake Louise.

If you want to go to Lake Louise and avoid the crowds, this hotel is a winner. Comfortable hotel if your room is on the river side of the building, but on the opposite side of the building (south side) you look at the parking lot. The hotel offers free transportation up to Lake Louise so you don't have to drive up to the parking lot prior to 6 AM (yes parking lot is full at 6 AM) and pay $36 to park and hike. The food in the main dining room and service was fantastic.

Amazing location, walkable to Lake Louise (which was why we booked there!) and a 4 minute drive into the small town of Lake Louise. The staff were also really kind and friendly. Our cabin was totally fine, some additional lighting would have been useful, but we were OK with what we had. Loved the Keurig coffee and granola bars provided by the hotel.

The hotel was in a great location very close to Lake Louise, had multiple restaurants and Starbucks onsite, provided free bike rentals, had a nice pool/hot tub and the staff was friendly. We arrived in a rain storm and the hotel has so much onsite that we thankfully didn't have to leave for anything.

I loved staying at Baker Creek. This property has beautiful grounds, very lovely cabins with a beautiful design, equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. It felt more like a country house rather than a hotel. The location is awesome! Very secluded, surrounded by wilderness yet close to a little town with restaurants and shots, close to hiking trails and lake Louise. We were very sad to leave!

Everything about this hotel was stellar. The staff was nice and the amenities were spectacular. We didn't have a bad meal. Staying here also gave us a leg up on accessing things around lake Louise which was nice.
