The hotel gives out the Chinese authentic vibe, the food, decorations and everything. Front offices people is very helpful all of them can speak English which is great as well as the owner. The tea complementary in the room is fantastic.

1. Very friendly, helpful and hospitable owner of the hotel. He arranged our pick up at the train station, helped to book tickets to the cruise, organized our trip to the rice terraces and much more! 2. Location is a gem! Very peaceful and beautiful. 3. Hotel is very Chinese style, which we liked a lot. We also got a free upgrade to the garden view with a terrace.

The receptionists ( 2 young ladies ) were absolutely delightful. They tried to make our stay comfortable and gave us invaluable information. The only disappointment was that we could not get the 4 star VIP boat seats for the day we wanted, but they made sure that we did get the tickets for the next day!

Good breakfast everyday, Chinese or Western styles provided and also packed breakfast if we leave the hotel early for day trip. Great location, safe with other tourists too, & local restaurants few steps away. Super convenient as staff very helpful & informative. Melody helped us arrange private cars and tour guide / driver for day trips to 1) rice paddies & 2) Yangshuo cruise. 3) Suggested sightseeing places in Guilin city centre. 4) Helped us get discounted tickets for nearby caves. Very happy with our English tour guide for rice paddies day trip arranged by hotel too! Rooms with views of mountains beautiful

My first in a min-shu in China. I usually stayed in 5 stars international hotel hence I was approaching it with apprehension. It surpassed my expectations and value for money. The customer service who checked us in, Xiao Liang is resourceful and helpful with ideas as we arrived with no plans for Guilin. She arranged for a good guide to bring us around for 1 day at a reasonable price. The guide brought us to see excellent view in Long Ji and Ping-An. Xiao Liang also arranged the cruise for us to travel from Guilin to Yangshuo. The best part was the LADY BOSS - very hospitable, friendly and gracious lady. She invited my husband and myself to a dinner she has arranged for her close friends! IT WAS EXCELLENT for 2 seniors travelling free and easy on the first night in Guilin! Their hospitality, warmth, resourcefulness made this an excellent stay. AND THE VIEW is good. Really had a quiet and stressless stay in this min-shu.
