SPECTACULAR hotel in every way! Sparkling water available at registration, beautiful lounge/ restaurant area as soon as you walk in, gorgeous flower arrangements, comfortable, interesting seating and decorations. A popular outdoor area along the Rhine River. Modern , clean room and bathroom with robes and comfortable bed and bedding. Great breakfast ! Great small bites for dinner and a good wine selection . I’m a hiker.. there was a path along the Rhine River right from the hotel to the Wald Park.. a huge forested park! The staff was so welcoming and always answered my request with a “ yes”! This hotel is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in years. And I travel a lot. Hated to leave!

This was a great weekend off-season value. It is a more modern hotel. Extremely comfortable and well-appointed. No real restaurant for dinner. Great bar. Exceptional staff and service.

The room was great, BUT instructions for key things, like the AC, were only in German, so not tourist friendly. Similarly, good luck reading the sign at the unmanned reception... also only in German. It said to call a mobile number (a long distance call, generally) it was also an unmanned mailbox. Eventually I figured out to walk in through the restaurant around the corner where I was greeting in, you guessed it, German (and Italian): I speak neither. So, the instructions for getting into the hotel need help, but once it, it was fabulous. I cannot comment on the restaurant, as we ate elsewhere, but it looked busy.

This is the most wonderful hotel. We have stayed here before and we love the personal treatment we are given by the owner. He helped us with information on transportation, restaurants, theaters, and even lent an Apple cable for my iPhone. You could never get this kind of response from a chain hotel: a warm welcome every time you entered the building, close attention to our needs, and a joyous friendliness which made our day, over and over again.

We were only there for the weekend (less than 24 hours) so our experience was limited. The location was great (in center of town, easy walking distance to many places of interest and restaurants). The room was comfortable (roomy and with nice touches like excellent water and tea/coffee availability).

Wasserturm

Built in 1886 as a drinking-water reservoir for Mannheim’s townspeople, this 60-metre structure has since become the de facto meeting place for modern-day locals. It’s not your ordinary water tank though. The Wasserturm’s ornate Romanesque-style construction is surrounded by immaculate lawns and dancing fountains that make it a popular picnic and chill-out area.

    The hotel staff were excellent and super friendly. They tried to help us with every little thing. Even days after returning, I was called to make sure everything was satisfactory. Fitness room was pretty good, quiet, and free. Wifi had zero problems and easy to connect. Location near wasserturm is nice, but expect to walk a bit to the place with restaurants.

    The property was very centrally located for our needs close to both the Wasserturm and the train station. The decor in the lobby and breakfast area was enjoyable. Unfortunately we did not try the restaurant, however it did look nice and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was enjoyed each morning and a good start to our day.

    Very VERY convenient location, 1 minute from the central train station and only 10 minutes walk to 2 tourist sites - the baroque castle and the wasserturm. Lovely staff and they held my bags for free while I explored after checkout because my train was in the evening. The restaurant was INCREDIBLY GOOD. Best steak and roast potatoes ever. Very nice water pressure, separate body wash, shampoo and conditioner, and nice bed. Very nice room and amenities.
