Muslims petitioned to worship in this splendid building but,I was told, the Pope refused the request. A holy place for centuries! Awesome in every way. Go to the night sound and lights mini tour. It’s amazing but no photos. So go back during the day and take photos. It’s worth it. It’s so vast you will see different things each visit. Also enjoy sitting in the orange tree courtyard with fountains. It’s free.
