Staying at the Duquesa de Cardona hotel is, in my opinion, the best way to experience Barcelona. It’s not just about the perfect location, which truly is ideal, but more so about the warmth of the staff who genuinely strive to make you feel welcome and go above and beyond expectations. It’s evident that this level of hospitality is ingrained in the culture of the place, not a coincidence. From the breakfast team to every employee, they made us feel like family. The truth is, I would normally stay at the W, but I believe that if you come to Barcelona, it’s for the spirit of the city, not for an Ibiza-like feeling. I must specifically mention some of the exceptional reception team members, Karim and Enrico, who are among the most outstanding people I have ever met. I will gladly return here… and importantly, unlike many other places where staff asked me to leave a review, this team didn’t even mention it. 👏👏👏

The hotel is completely refurbished, and perfectly located close to La Rambla and right in the heart of the old city. The reception staff were very on to it, and spoke great English. They were kind, amusing and helpful. The room was clean, and the cleaner did a great job keeping it that way every day. The lift worked, and took you upstairs easily. The room was adequately spacious. There was a kettle and a fridge. We didn't try the restaurant downstairs, but it looked clean and inviting.

Superb hotel, staff were the nicest we’ve experienced and we spent the month travelling across Europe. Very central. Top service! Complimentary cheese and wine tasting while we were there, complimentary tour also. Cannot fault this hotel or the staff.

    You’ll need money:). It’s a great place to see superb Yachts, have nice food but€€€€€. Feom port Veill go straight ahead, cross the street and you’ll have rhe best Italian restaurant, beautiful affordable shops, local tapas, . Have a stayat the Hotel del Mar, best starting point, excellent breakfast and a Michelin Spanish restaurant at a really affordable price.
