Self catering, excellent laundry facilities. Beautiful serene location. Short walk to a hotel for dinner. Great spot to stop for a few days after a busy travel schedule. Easy walk to the Glenfinnan viaduct to watch the train pass over, without the drama of parking.

The location is perfect, right next to the beautiful Loch Shiel. Very quiet place. Great starting point for day trips to Ben Nevis, Fort William or even Isle of Skye. And you don’t have to bother about parking to see the Glenfinnan viaduct and the Jacobite train

Excellent location on the shores of the loch and a stones throw from the Glenfinnan viaduct. You can walk direct from the property or its less than a 2 min drive to the viaduct and monument car park if you don't want to do the walk. Staff at the property were both friendly and helpful as well as efficient. I had an excellent meal in the bar and the service was excellent. Comfortable room in a heritage property - log fire in the main hallway with lots of traditional Scottish paintings and antiques.

Lovely location. Only 2 minutes walk to a train station and museum which was also on a walking off road route to the Glenfinnan viaduct to see the Jacobite steam train crossing. Glenfinnan monument and Loch Spiel (Black Lake in the Harry Potter series). Also the film location of Dumbledore’s resting place is only 15 drive away over to the next loch. So this is an ideal location for Harry Potter fans. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the evening meal was lovely too. Room facilities were excellent with its own coffee making machine.

We loved that everything you could possibly want in the form of facilities and provisions were there. It is a very homely and rustic lodge. A skip and a hop to the train station where the Jacobite train comes and a wonderful scenic walk to the Glenfinnan Viaduct (Harry Potter fans) and the Bonnie Prince Memorial.
