travelled for early Mother’s Day with my mum for 2 nights. perfect location for getting in from Gatwick to Victoria, yet still quiet at night. rooms have a kitchenette - a brilliant addition if you get in late and want to have food delivered! drinking water provided via britta filter tap in the kitchenette. lovely large bathroom with good shower. comfortable bed. the staff could not have been more helpful (shoutout to Jason) - every request was facilitated and everyone just so friendly. my mum is a light sleeper and room 401 was super quiet. could not fault it and will 100% be back next time in London!

Harrods

Department stores don’t come more luxurious than Harrods. Set in an ornate 19th-century building in glitzy Knightsbridge, this shopping emporium boasts a million square feet of retail space. You can enlist the services of gift concierges, peruse the gilded Egyptian-style clothing room or even buy bars of gold! Then there’s the quaint food hall, where afternoon tea is a must-try tradition.

    The food court was impressive!

The food court was impressive! Sadly, we did not eat in a restaurant here, which I would like to do on our next trip. The escalators were surrounded by magnificent architecture! The toy floor was a delight to our children, but I think Hamleys (?) in Picadilly Circus is better. The ceilings are rather low on the toy floor in Harrods and it feels rather cave like. The lower levels have higher ceilings. Lots to see and buy here!

A great place to visit just so you can say you've been.

A great place to visit just so you can say you've been. Souvenirs are extremely expensive particularly for us Aussies who have a pretty terrible exchange rate currently. Lovely piece of history, but in reality just about everything in the shape is well and truly out of the 'ordinary' person's price range.

The best place in all of England to people watch. Go to the “grocery” area. The foods are fantastic! The chocolatier has so many varieties! At at the restaurant which had the best eclair! Complete with gold leaf!

I have not been in this place for a long time as every time I did go, the staff seem to make you feel less than anything lower than a pleb. They look at you up & down & won't offer service. I found one older lady who works on the lower floor who was so nice & disgusted when I told her how I felt the other staff members treated me. It wasn't just one time either, I tried going in to that place about 4-5 times with the same experience so I vowed never to return. It doesn't stop me from buying a Harrods Teddy every time I leave the airport though :-)

Beautiful home. Well maintained and clean in a fantastic location next to Hyde Park, Central and Circular lines. Stones throw to South Kensington, Harrods, and many awesome restaurants and cafe's at walking distance. Configured with two large bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, makes it perfect for a two-person business trip or two couples. Marble was super responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

There are many small shops to explore, but Harrods is the most amazing! You can spend the entire day there and probably not see it all. There are plenty of places to eat along the way too! You can have proper tea there as well in a very sweet little room (literally sweet ... full of sweets and very feminine looking!) Harrods will have everything you need!
