travelled for early Mother’s Day with my mum for 2 nights. perfect location for getting in from Gatwick to Victoria, yet still quiet at night. rooms have a kitchenette - a brilliant addition if you get in late and want to have food delivered! drinking water provided via britta filter tap in the kitchenette. lovely large bathroom with good shower. comfortable bed. the staff could not have been more helpful (shoutout to Jason) - every request was facilitated and everyone just so friendly. my mum is a light sleeper and room 401 was super quiet. could not fault it and will 100% be back next time in London!

Absolutely blown away by the architecture and entrance.

Absolutely blown away by the architecture and entrance. We thought this was an incredible building. Our kids loved the exhibits and they were well done for the interior. It doesn't really compare to the Field's museum in NYC, though. But we are really glad we went and would recommend it.

Very organised, exhibits are amazing especially the blue whale exhibit. A great experience and a must if you are visiting London. Donations are optional and you are not pressured to do this. For a free venue it really is fantastic.

Location is superb for Royal Albert Hall, V and A, Natural History Museum and the Science Museum. Accommodation is good but my balcony door was broken beyond quick repair so I had no way to close it. My room wasn't changed once I reported the fault. However, staff were great and the place was clean. The square is noisy on a Saturday night/ early hours but there is no traffic noise, just people and music from a nearby hotel.

Very good location, 5min walk to Hyde Park and 25-30min walk to Natural History Museum (a nice walk through the park). Very well connected with public transport (Queensway and Bayswater tube stations are very close, plus some buses). Supermarkets and cafeterias nearby. Friendly staff. Clean in general. Ok for a short stay if you only want a place to sleep.

In England there's a tradition about museums as Alsace of culture, there are lots of activities devoted to kids. It is a place of interaction between objects and visitors and not only places to watch. If you have kids I suggest the natural history museum that is free as all the other Victorian museum, Tate, British, Albert....

National Gallery has nice cafe and afternoon tea at a reasonable price. Sundays at the Natural History Museum are mobbed with people with their children. Do not go on that day if you don't like crowds.
