Oxford Street

Stretching out for a mile and a half, you can pretty much buy anything under the sun on Europe’s busiest shopping street. Big British shopping institutions like Primark, John Lewis and Selfridges stock most of it, while the smaller shops toward Tottenham Court Road can still turn up the odd gem if you keep your eyes peeled.

Nice., walkable and you can hop on and off the London bus.

Nice., walkable and you can hop on and off the London bus. Depending on what you have for bus pass. Lots of shops. I like the world famous shop. The Selfridges(architecture- it a high end store). There are so many other stores on Oxford street. I like Oxfords circus train station that connects you to almost all the underground train stations. I love Marble Arch Stn/ area - pictures, shops and scenery. Oxford Street one of my faves.

Love this area of London, great shopping, great access in and out via the tube and buses, or gods gift the black cab, plenty of variety of food and many different styles. Only negative is it gets busy, but then that's London for you.

Better than the last time I was here, but not the nicest experience. If you want to go to Marks & Spencers, the two largest are on Oxford Street, as is Selfridges, but that would be my only reason to go.

    The whole world is here.

The whole world is here. I love the busy nature of this street. If you are the type that travel with family, please make a budget first. After my first day with my family, many years when the children were young, I learnt through the hard way. Unlimited spending affected my budget. please don't carry the family to this street without budget.

Oxford Street doesn't have a great reputation among natives of London. However, in the 1980s I would go there to shop at Selfridges for clothes. That's a classy department store and worth a visit.

Excellent location - Nearby bus line 98 which goes directly to Oxford street and central London in a short period of time. You also have a local Tesco across the road and a laundry business to stores away. Communication with the owner was great, via WhatsApp. The beds were comfy. Snacks, bottles of water and Pepsi cans were in the room as a bonus really made a difference - we felt welcomed and happy! Also, the small fridge was very useful.

I arrived early and the room was ready so I was given my room keys early. The room was in great condition, a very comfortable bed and good soundproofing, so I had a great nights sleep. Good location near Oxford Street with bars, restaurants and shops very close by.

Location was perfect it was between oxford street and westfield shopping center, we can go by one bus to oxford street and other bus to westfield. Our family of 4 (two adults and to children)could stay on one room. In room we had almost every thing we needed. Queensway street was next to the hotel in which there was two underground station, and KFC, Mc Donald and Burger King. And also Screw fix which was my favorite.

Everything. Location is a given, minutes from Oxford street and WestEnd. Everything else on it is very professional. Beautiful, vibrant yet cosy interior. Since the minute you step in the hotel, all staff members are attentive, helpful and welcoming. Special shout out to the housekeeping team, rooms, lobby, library, gym etc. are spotless at all times. The restaurant serves delicious British cuisine from fresh, seasonal ingredients.

Excellent location in a quiet street. Lots of restaurants & cafes close by & a couple of nice pubs within a couple of minutes walk. Convenient to tube stations and only about a 5 minute walk to Oxford Street but very quiet. Building was very secure & well maintained. Nice little kitchen with all you could need - even an Nespresso machine. Woul highly recommend this accommodation.

If you want to do some shopping, but want to avoid the crowds, you should stay away from Oxford Street and Portobelle Road on Saturdays. Take a trip to some of the boroughs outside the city's centre and discover the local atmosphere. Ask someone in a shop or the staff at your hotel, if you need a few suggestions for a good day out away from the crowds. I usually ask them where they go for a day out.

Plan your trip and staying in details. Do a little research what are the busiest times/days. Skip using tube/buses unless you really have to. Avoid the busiest shopping/tourist areas (there is much more to London than Oxford Street and Trafalgar Square).
