Fascinating museum, with amazing treasures on display. This place almost has too many wonders to try and take in in one visit. Maybe consider two trips (although that might be pricey). I would recommend visiting before going to Knossos, as it really puts the remains of Knossos into perspective. It was great.
It was great. We didn't have a guide and it probably would have been a good idea to have one. While there's plenty of signage explaining what you're looking at, I didn't really get a good idea of how some exhibits were related to Palace of Knossos until we went there and had a guide who referenced various things that we either had seen or could have seen at the museum. That is, it seemed like all of the original frescoes from the Palace are now at the museum, but we didn't get that when we had gone to the museum itself.Guest review byChristopherUnited States - 10.0
This is a must-visit place!
