If you’re interested in the rainforest, you will absolutely love this place. Daintree Discovery Centre is an all-singing, all-dancing visitor centre where you can learn all about this magnificent forest. An informative audio tour is included in the price, so you can get all the information you want through your headset, at your own pace. To get a different view of the forest, shimmy up the Canopy Tower and see the treetops stretch out into the distance.

It's fabulous, but crowded -- try and pick a time when the crowds are less. The climb up is steep, so be prepared (it was May when I was there and warm). The only downside is the stupid selfie takers who barely look around at the wonderful buildings, site, and view. They spoil it for others when then can. Close to a supermarket and a 5 minute stroll up the hill to see the Parthenon. The walk to Plaka was only 20 minutes, and there were some really great historical sights to see along the way.
