We were traveling around Iceland and this horel was the best one. Hotel is located in wonderful nature by the lake, but only few minutes drive from Egillstadir. Staff is very kind and friendly. Breakfast was very good and fresh.

Set in a renovated farmhouse, this guest house is located by Lake Lagarfljót in Eglisstadir village.

Excellent location with picturesque views, friendly staff and very accommodating to keep the hot tub open till 11 pm for us.

Comfortable, with lots of space for 2 adults in a room. Large toilet. Good shower with large slushing water and consistent temperature and water flow. Wifi was good. The host was very friendly, and spend time interacting with people who are staying in the hotel.

The staff working there are really enthusiastic about what they do, you will be greeted with a smile and a hearty hello. They will assist you with whatever it is you need, conversation, directions and suggestions about your travels. It is already a good hotel, I can only imagine what they will improve with the current plans that they are drawing up.

Really nice cottage on the lake off the main road. The location is very quiet. We had an issue with the shower that I messaged the host and someone was knocking at the door to fix it within 15 minutes in the middle of a snow storm at 8:30pm so that was really amazing. There was also oil and salt & pepper we used for cooking which most places don’t provide. The man that came to fix our shower also came in the mornings to shovel the snow off the porch and make a pathway to our car. Highly recommend this place !
