The best stay of our trip! Such a special place in the heart of the beautiful Matera. We were warmly welcomed after our taxi ride booked by the hotel. Anne explained us everything about Matera with great recommendations! She showed us to our beautiful room in an old matera house. The hotel has an amazing aesthetic that resonates well with the city. The breakfast is also very much appreciated with nice music.

The location was tricky to get to, but that is not the hotel's fault. They are accessible only by foot due to the way the ancient town was built. I received excellent recommendations from the hotel about parking for our rental car. There is a secure parking building about 15 minutes walk away that cost 20 euro per day, although this is not the only option. The reception staff were excellent and organised for our luggage to be taken to our room - much appreciated considering the cobbled paths around the hotel. The room was large, quiet and well appointed. The included continental breakfast was adequate and the spa facilities were a nice addition.

Everything. The location, the view and the exceptionally friendly and welcoming staff. The level of hospitality was outstanding. Top points to all of the staff. The room was spacious and breakfast on the terrace with that view was a great way to start the day. Would 100% recommend this place

The place was amazing. Located in the center of the Sassi, with a lot of restaurant and best city view near by. The room was perfect, beautiful design. Very clean and luxury look. We also enjoyed the breakfast. The host was very kind and took care of every thing we needed. Highly recommend!

    The cave house was super cool to see.

    The cave house was super cool to see. Also cool, nearby there is a cantina, not for drinks, for a grandpa and his nephew who walk you through the grandfather's childhood case house and nephew explaining the history in English. Truly exceptional experience of someone who grew up in the cave house itself!
