The room was beyond our expectations, and absolutely beautiful and magical! The building, or cave, is a perfect restoration of a historical church, with attention to detail that preserves its ancient beauty while providing modern luxuries. The staff at Hotel in Pietra were exceptionally welcoming and attentive. They were knowledgeable about the area and offered great recommendations for exploring Matera. The location of the hotel is ideal. It's conveniently situated to enjoy the best of the city’s sights. I highly recommend Hotel in Pietra to anyone visiting Matera. The hotel is very luxurious and convenient. The staff has individual approach to every client. Amazing room with very comfortable bed. Whole attractions of Matera are in walking distance.

Absolutely everything!! This hotel is simply Devine. It is right in the middle of the old city. We couldn’t have been happier with our accomodation choice. We were also treated to the biggest and most delicious complimentary breakfast. I can’t recommend this accomodation enough! They also provided fantastic maps and recommendations for the city and restaurants to eat including our favourite… Kiev!!
