Stunning place. Amazing and beautiful “grotta” hotel. Unique hotel in the center of old town Matera. Fantastic rooms and great breakfast. Everything is top-class and so tastfull - highly recommendable

The greeting was extremely warmful; prior to that, the staff had arranged the parking and shuttle very efficiently (you cannot park in the Sassi in Matera). In the heart of an amazing town, the hotel is just fabulous (the "caves" have been turned into wonderful sleeping alcoves and rooms), and the staff is always there to help --with a smile! Don't miss it.

Aquatio Cave Luxury Hotel & SPA is situated inside the Matera Sassi UNESCO World Heritage site. Featuring a on-site restaurant and free WiFi, the hotel is located 400 metres from MUSMA Museum.

This is one of the most unique hotels we have ever stayed in - I would highly recommend Aquatio. You are within 5 minutes walking distance to pretty much anything in Matera and 2-3 minutes walk to the fabulous restaurant Francesca (we dined there twice it was so fantastic). We also used the spa to get a couples massage and my partner used the water therapies. The front desk staff were fantastic before and during our stay - they really helped us to arrange parking, the shuttle to and from the hotel to our parking spot and other requests we had like booking restaurants for us. A true concierge experience! You will thoroughly enjoy your stay. We will be back!

Anyone going to matera should stay in this hotel. The view is absolutely amazing. You can sit on the deck enjoying a glass of wine and enjoying. The staff is also amazing and very helpful. The room is great and shower perfect.
