Location is excellent. Staff are very good and rooms are well appointed. We had a problem with the bathroom basin. Staff could not rectify the problem so offered to change us to a new more superior room. They were so attentive

Trevi Fountain

Much to the annoyance of his fellow gods who chose to simply materialise, Oceanus preferred to travel by cumbersome shell-shaped chariot. Constructed in 1762 at the height of the baroque, the Trevi Fountain is one of the world’s most elaborate – and romantic – fountains. The God Oceanus is the fountain’s centrepiece. Swimmers take heed: beware of the vigilant fountain police!

I saw Trevi Fountain in 1969.

I saw Trevi Fountain in 1969. Could not tell you if it changed any in the last 50 years. This time around it was a madhouse. Standing room only. Had to push and shove to get up close for a picture. It's a hotspot so be prepared for the crowds. 50 years ago you didn't have everybody trying to get a "selfie".

Try to do late in the day and just up the side street is a fantastic resturant and bar... outstanding for a relaxing cocktail. It is called Comodo! Then after a few of their cocktails go back to the fountain and see in the dusk/dark with all of the lights on before going to find a resturant to eat.

I would suggest to wake up early and arrive to the fountain around 7 am in the morning. You will still find a big crowd of people, but it would be far more pleasant and comfortable than going there later in the afternoon.

    Absolutely overcrowded.

Absolutely overcrowded. We were there on a Friday late afternoon. Took the subway there and walked the rest of the way. We did not want to use the subway in the dark so we decided beforehand to get a taxi or uber back, however, they were charging astronomical prices as they knew we were desperate. We ended up going back by subway.

We had such a great stay here! The staff were super friendly and really went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They even shared their own map with local recommendations, which led us to some amazing restaurants that weren’t touristy at all. They also helped us get in touch with our next hotel to make sure we got there safely — such a thoughtful gesture. The location couldn’t be better either — just a short walk to the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon. Honestly, just really lovely people and a great place to stay!

I loved everything about this property. The view out the bedroom window was amazing! Was a great location, we walked to the Vatican and Colosseum in about 20 mins and the Spanish steps and The Trevi Fountain about 7 mins. Lots of places for food, drink & shopping. Our room was spotless and comfortable, staff very friendly. I would definitely come back to this hotel.

The location is ideal for exploring Rome, making it easy to reach any tourist attraction on foot. The building is located near the Trevi Fountain, and the apartment entrance is at the back of the building, on a picturesque street. The window overlooks a nearby street with numerous restaurants and pizzerias, and the indoor space is very quiet. The apartment is very clean and has a charming interior. We were pleasantly surprised by the daily cleaning service and the refilled coffee and tea supplies.

Location is perfect to see central Rome few meters away from Trevi Fountain. Our host was exceptionally helpful with directions and any questions and organized a free driver from the airport which was much easier than train/bus with luggage. Also pretty good soundproofing and the apartment is amazing !

Fantastic location only 10 minute walk to Trevi Fountain in one direction and 10 minute walk to the beautiful serenity of Rome's biggest park Villa Borghese. Our hosts Veruska and Gianluca were so welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and well cared for. You will not get this attention in a mainstream hotel so do yourself a favour and stay with these beautiful hosts.

Rome has lots of lovely romantic spots such as the Trevi Fountain which is stunning for a romantic stroll at night time. There are lots of romantic restaurants dotted around too and if you really want to take romantic to a new level then I recommend visiting the Mirabelle restaurant - a rooftop restaurant with a terrace overlooking Rome. It is very pricey but it is stunning.
