Our room was perfect with lovely bathroom and provisions. Staff were wonderful. Area great for walking to metro and nearby attractions. Breakfasts were served as opposed to buffet which we liked. Healthy choices. Western or Japanese. Complimentary afternoon cakes and evening drinks and small bites were served in modern elegant simple lounge. Highly recommend a stay at this modern, chic hotel.

Where to start! This was one of the best hotels we have stayed in Japan. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. They helped to receive luggge and packages, and helped us send our luggages to the following hotel. The rooms were more spacious than the usual modern hotels in Japan, and decorated immaculately. The continuous flow of baked goods, drinks at the cozy lobby made me feel like having a big living room where I could spend hours to chill after a long day of walking. We also made use of their free bike rental. It is a such great concept! I also used the laundry on the ground floor. Definitely considering staying here next time I'm in Kyoto!

Overall, the Ace Hotel was an amazing place to stay. The staff was mindful and very helpful, our room was confortable and the location was central. One of our highlight was the turntable with a selection of vinyls that set the mood nicely in our room. Plus, once they noticed it was my birthday, they made sure it was celebrated.

We got there late in the afternoon and couldn't get in.

We got there late in the afternoon and couldn't get in. All we could see were these endless walls and endless broad gravel paths.. My companion said "this looks like one big parking lot." I'm sorry but she is right. It's possible that we missed something....
