The difference maker was Sandra from the staff, she has been amazing from checkin to checkout, being really friendly and helpful, doing the extra mile by suggesting very nice 'out of maps' spots that gave a plus to our stay and doing the utmost to make our stay special, always with a smile.

Fantastic location in a quiet neighborhood, but 3 minutes walk from major train/metro network. Good to be by Ueno station for direct line from Narita airport or Shinkansen north/south. Professional and friendly staff. Very comfortable bed (best sleep in 4 months after SE Asia travel) and clean room, small closet area and a refrigerator for 7-eleven drinks/snacks, just the right size for 2 people. Self-laundry was very convenient with washing machine that has built-in laundry detergent, makes it so simple. Outside lounge space was lovely. Felt like we could relax and feel at home.
