The location is very convenient to explore Kyoto by foot and by public transport. Nice restaurants and shopping district nearby. I found it to be very good value. The room was spacious with modern tasteful decor, a great shower and bath and a separate toilet. The room was very quiet, the mattress and pillow probably the most comfy I ever slept on in a hotel room. The all day drinks and pastries in the lobby were a nice bonus, it felt very welcoming to return to the hotel after a day of sightseeing.

Good location, about 10 minutes walk from many of Kyoto’s sights. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the bath is great and the beds were comfortable. The room is small and with 3 beds there’s not much space for suitcases but that’s what you need to prepare yourself for when traveling in Japan. Definitely recommend!
