The room with a bunk bed was truly amazing. My kids loved it and I got my own separate bed! The facilities were very nice - just wish they had an onsen - but overall high quality and can't complain. The staff were very friendly and attentive to my needs.

I absolutely loved my stay at the 1899 Hotel in Tokyo—this was my third time staying here, and it continues to impress me every visit. The service is exceptional, with the staff making sure you feel welcome and comfortable. The hotel itself is extremely modern, with a minimalist and aesthetically pleasing design that creates such a calming and sophisticated atmosphere. One of my favorite touches is the complimentary tea service during check-in. You can enjoy a delicious matcha accompanied by wagashi (Japanese sweets) to start your stay on the perfect note—it’s such a thoughtful and unique experience. During my stay, I also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, which offered decent options and added to the overall value of the stay. Another highlight was the green tea-scented amenities, including shampoo, shower gel, and body lotion. Not only did they smell amazing, but they’re also available for purchase at the hotel—a great way to bring a piece of the experience home with you. The location is also very convenient. While “central” in Tokyo is relative, it’s well connected by public transport, making it easy to get around the city. Overall, 1899 Hotel is a fantastic place to stay in Tokyo, blending modern design, thoughtful service, and little luxuries that make it stand out. Highly recommended—I’ll definitely be back again!

The location is the best for Ginza area. The room we got is Executive Double room. It fits our family of 3 perfectly. Although, the hotel does not have buffet breakfast, they delivered breakfast in the wooden box to your room. We found that it is very convenience. Hotel does not have car park, but there is a paid parking nearby. Staff was vey nice during check in and check out. Hotel also has the restuarant guidebook that is very helpful.

    This was my second stay in this hotel. The staff is friendly and welcomed me warmly after midnight. They can communicate in English which makes my check in and check out a smooth process. I am also able to rest in the hotel lobby after my check out day before commuting to airport. The hotel location is convenient as it is near Tamachi station.

    Excellent location, near subway lines and an easy walk to Tamachi station on the JR line. Short taxi ride from Hamamatsu station when arriving from Haneda. Very welcoming and helpful staff. Very happy with the room, really comfortable bed and well presented hotel.
