We spent 4 days and we would definitely like to come back to On the Mekong Resort. Henry, the owner, is a fantastic host. His staff is also very kind and well prepared. We really felt at home. The property is located right on the bank of the Mekong river, providing a fantastic location for watching the sunset. We loved the abundant breakfast, the pool and the easy going mood.

We had a fantastic stay at Madilao! The hotel is fairly new, with spacious rooms, large and incredibly comfortable beds, and an excellent shower. The pool is amazing, and the gym and breakfast were both great as well. We initially stayed for a week and enjoyed it so much that we returned for another two nights. Although it’s about a 10/15 minute drive to the city center, getting there is super easy thanks to the free shuttle service offered several times a day, or you can book a private transfer without any hassle. We would definitely come back and highly recommend Madilao, especially if you’re traveling with kids. Everything was just spot-on.

This was our nicest stay in Laos. We initially booked for one night but ended up staying for 4 nights. The location is lovely, there is a very nice balcony on which you can sit in the hot afternoons and have a few beers overlooking the river. The room is very clean and has good air-conditioning and a big sized comfortable bed. Breakfast is pretty good, you get some fresh fruits as well. Robert was really helpful and friendly and helped us plan all our transport with zero stress. Very friendly people here. Loved our stay!

Great location - Beautiful quiet Garden setting yet close to everything. Clean comfortable rooms Enjoyed sitting in the garden shade during hot afternoons. Hosts Sin and his wife Tan could not be more warm welcoming and helpful. They have lots of local knowledge. Delicious full breakfast each morning, coffee, juice, eggs, bacon, toast and fruit, etc. Great value as most others only offer a simple breakfast. Kind of felt like home.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The location is perfect—right in the heritage area of town, within walking distance to temples, night market, and morning market, yet still quiet and peaceful. The breakfast on the patio by Mekong River was absolutely amazing. A special thanks to Lin, who was incredibly helpful and kind. Highly recommend!
