Take it slow and easy if you are unfit like me. Go to St Martin's church and then slowly make your way to the top! Totally worth it! We visited the printing press shop and admired the work and enjoyed visiting the 2nd floor too! The Printer was not too busy so we enjoyed chatting with him to learn more about the history. The boats to Bled island are just in front of the Apartment. You can catch buses to Lake Bohinj and to the main town of Bled as well as to Ljubljana from the nearby Milano bus stop. If you prefer to walk to the town and Bled castle it’s an easy flat walk by the river. The apartment is well equipped and comfortable. It had a beautiful view of Bled Castle and sunsets over the Julian Alps. Bedding and linens were high quality, the bathroom was spacious, and there was plenty of storage. The complimentary breakfast was exceptional, with extensive home-made offerings (including cooked-to-order eggs). The hotel also provides a number of mountain bikes that are free to use on a first-come basis. Parking was free.
