Walking through that massive front door , I was automatically captivated by the ambience of a hotel encapsulated in an art gallery. The room was very clean , the bed was comfy , the entire set up of the room made me feel at home , the breakfast was top notch and the staff are warm and friendly. The hotel is central to attraction night markets bazaars and even a hop on hop off river transport terminal .

Wat Arun

Nestled on the west bank of the Chao Phraya, Wat Arun is known for the way the morning light makes it look like it’s glowing – hence its Thai name, Temple of the Dawn. Whatever time of day you choose to visit, you’ll fall in love with the beautiful architecture of this historic site. Brace yourself for the stairs to the top, and you’ll be rewarded with gorgeous views over the city.

Very touristy.

Very touristy. Lots of places to rent clothes and get a photographer and take some beautiful photos. Most people dress up and have their photos taken so lots of photographers and people having their photos taken. Not a peaceful place to go too but a chance to have some beautiful photos taken.

Most beautiful temple, I recommend going at dusk. If you come from the ferry, you won't see it, but outside the other entrance you can rent traditional Thai clothes to take pictures in at the temple.

Known as the Temple of the Dawn, Wat Arun is a must-visit gem, exuding a distinctive charm from its towering silhouette. Conveniently located just a ferry stop from The Grand Palace, this unique temple justifies its 200 THB entry fee with its captivating allure. For the best experience, plan an early morning visit—ideally before or after exploring The Grand Palace—to fully appreciate its serene beauty.

The monument it's self is beautiful and I would have loved to stay and see/explore more but it is crawling with tourists. To the point that you can't really walk around it or get a nice picture as there are so many photo shoots being had on the steps on the walkway around it and on the grounds. Made it really unenjoyable and took ALL the reverence away from the place.

Lovely boutique hotel by the river. Great staff ! Chakrabongse Villas is a special place. The River View Suite was especially wonderful and spacious. Private Breakfast was excellent. While we ate on the banks of the Chao Praya, we could see Wat Arun temple. I wish I could stay there a few nights next year! It’s so amazing!

The location is fantastic, directly across from Wat Arun. Night views from the room and the rooftop bar are breathtaking. I have stayed in many hotels in Bangkok over the years, most of which include some sort of breakfast. Inn A Day provides the best cooked-to-order breakfast I have ever experienced in Thailand.

If I can give a 100, I will do so. I like how attentive the owner is to our needs. When we asked to be moved to a lower floor because of my senior mother, they did so quickly and even provided extra mattress. The room is also very clean. When we told them that we would go to Ayutthaya, she offered a great deal with a great friendly driver who also doubled as our tour guide. The location is also great, with the great palace and wat pho just 3 to 5 minutes away and wat arun just on the other side of the river!!! Highly Recommended!!

Stayed in the panoramic view suite—the view was incredible. Could see from the Rama IV? bridge all the way across downtown to Wat Arun, unobstructed. The view alone was worth it, but the room was also spacious and clean with a few charming Thai accents. The location of the hotel was convenient, on top of a local market, and a 4 minute walk from the local ferry across the river (4.5 Baht per ride per person, leaving every 10 min or so).
