From the moment we arrived at the Clarion Hotel Golden Horn, my wife and I were treated with nothing short of exceptional hospitality, making our stay one of the most memorable experiences of our lives. Every member of the team went above and beyond to ensure our time in Istanbul was flawless, and I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all of them. A special shoutout to Mayar İLKER, whose warm welcome and professional demeanor set the tone for our entire stay. His attention to detail and genuine care for our comfort were remarkable. Zeynep Gundogan was also outstanding—she took the time to personalize our experience, offering helpful recommendations that made our exploration of the city even more special. Parisa Aminluy was incredibly accommodating and attentive, ensuring that every need was met with a smile and a sense of urgency. The entire team, from the bellboys to the reception staff and guest relations officers, treated us like family. Each person we encountered was not just friendly but genuinely passionate about providing excellent service. The Bellboys were prompt and courteous, assisting with our luggage, while the front desk staff made check-in and check-out seamless and efficient. The guest relations team, with their warm personalities, ensured that we had everything we needed to enjoy a perfect stay. It was clear that everyone at Clarion Hotel Golden Horn takes pride in their work and genuinely cares about creating an unforgettable experience for their guests. The hotel itself is a gem, with stunning views, luxurious accommodations, and top-tier amenities, but it is the people who truly make this hotel stand out. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The service was excellent, and the apartment had everything we needed. The location is also great – very close to Forum shopping center, which was super convenient. All the staff were friendly and helpful, but I’d especially like to highlight the cleaning ladies who were in our room on September 25th. My baby was in the room with my mother-in-law while they were cleaning, and they brought her some balloons, which made her really happy. It was such a small but incredibly kind gesture that truly touched us. These are the little things that make a hotel not just good, but great. Thank you for everything!

Incredible to think that this mosque is centuries old.

Incredible to think that this mosque is centuries old. The tile work is stunning. Only closed at prayer times, and cover (scarves, long skirts etc) available free to enter. If you have limited time, this mosque ticks the box. Outside are fountains and water features, and it's next to the Spice Bazaar. Also a handy cafe in the square.

The MOST Important Pilgrimage site in all of Turkey for...

The MOST Important Pilgrimage site in all of Turkey for Muslims. Here is buried one of the closest and most important of Ansars - people of Medina who immediately converted to Islam upon hearing about Prophet PBUH. Hazrat Ayub Ansari RA is buried here. It is he in whose home Prophet Muhammad salahu alihi wasalam stayed on migration to Medina for 6 or 7 months before a house was built. Do not miss out on extremely wonderful strawberry ice cream across this place. Also, make a point to have Syrian shawarma here. There are many Syrians around.

Try to get there on a Friday at noon, to hear the traditional Turkish band play in the square. By ferry, allow approximately 75 minutes from Eminonu (check ferry times before you go.) The surrounding market is much cheaper than in Sultanahmet.
