Location! Couple of blocks from Millennium Park. The pineapple cookies in the afternoons. The staff seem to enjoy their work. Small and intimate historic hotel. Enjoyed bfast both mornings at the Pittsfield Cafe (500 feet away)!

Been here twice now and it’s my favorite Chicago hotel. Modern yet homely, nice lobby and outdoor spaces, superb gym and cool rooms. The staff is always extremely hospitable.

The lake view is absolutely amazing. We were lucky enough to be there on a Saturday night and the room was a front row seat to the bi-weekly fireworks (I was told they do them on Wednesdays and Saturdays during the spring and summer). At check in try asking for a higher floor!

Riu Plaza Chicago is attractively set in Chicago, and has a fitness center, free WiFi and a bar.
