There is a 30 minute line to buy their famous desserts (cream/Sundae/Fudge). At the end of the line only one cashier serves all the customers, although they have positions for 6 cashiers! This is a total disrespect of the customers' time. (But then, maybe it's a psychological trick - "if I waited 30 minutes, it must be something great"). Depending on your walking ability, it's a 15-20 minute walk. There is a good coffee shop nearby and places to get pizza, sandwiches etc. within walking distance. The bus that takes you to the Golden Gate Bridge is also about a block away. It's clean, parking is available (although it can get tight depending on how crowded occupancy is).
