Czech RepublicLocation was perfect for events in Hollywood / Sunset area. I walked to the Palladium and back in the evening with no issues.
Check in was great; super fast, friendly. FREE parking and plenty of it in well lit, clean parking lot without vagrants (amazing in LA). Burger King and mini-market half a block away (with vagrants).
Room was exceptionally clean - another rarity in LA, so we were really pleased. Bathroom was brand new and remodeled. Sink was small but fully functional and clean with no mold. Nice refrigerator included that worked great.
AC worked great - we set it for "Arctic Blast." :) Noisy as they all are, but that just made it even easier to sleep for us as it completely blocked out the big city noise which goes on nonstop in this part of town.
Beds were super clean, super comfy, and very cozy even with the AC up.
Overall we were sad to pay $200 for a basic motel room, but that's LA. In this case, the Dunes Inn was friendly, professional, super clean and comfy, safe, and near everything we wanted to do. So.... great deal! :D
And did I mention FREE parking? :D

Lovely sightseeing spot, and free access (don’t forget ID to get in!). We got the free bus from Hollywood downtown which came regularly up and back from Griffith observatory. The sights are beautiful, and perfect to see the Hollywood sign too. Easy to get the stroller around with a few steps here and there. Lots of options for lunch, however bit expensive. We went for when it opened and felt it wasn’t overly crowded the whole time. Really worth popping to see!

It was a nice experience. I have stayed in other hostels, this one was different with different experience. The Staff Michael was very friendly and suggested some places to check (I was asking for it). Location was convenient to reach by local transportation from Griffith Observatory even after 10 pm, on a weekend.

Great location! Easy to access all attractions in and around LA. We visited Downtown, Griffith Observatory, Lake Hollywood Park, the Getty Center and Villa, Santa Monica. We truly appreciate the convenient location of the studio.
Sam and Israel have been very responsive and helpful! You can't find a better host than Sam.

The location was amazing. We walked everywhere. There were restaurants & coffee shops all around, as well as grocery stores nearby. All that at a price that cannot be beaten. There were no negatives that in any way diminished what an awesome place this was to stay. We would stay again just for the location. Our week flew by. We walked all over west Hollywood & were close enough for easy drives to Griffith Observatory & to see concerts at both The Greek Theater & The Hollywood Bowl.

Perfect location for a weekend in LA. We walked to Hollywood Boulevard in about 5 minutes and drove to Griffith Observatory in around 10 minutes. Being close to The Grove and multiple shopping centers made it simple to plan meals and pick up anything we forgot. Inside, the unit was very clean, well kept, and the beds were supportive and comfy, everyone slept well. The host checked in with us proactively and answered questions fast, which we appreciated. Overall, excellent value and convenience; we’d stay here again.

Everything! We loved the view from rm 512. Griffith observatory Hollywood sign. Then the rooftop was a full 360 view. Fantastic.
The staff was helpful and friendly.
The room was just hat you need and comfortable.
