This hotel was a real oasis in NYC; room was beautiful with a view on the Empire! Clean, great towels, great bathroom and even more great toiletries. The snack on the day of arrival, coffee and tea maker and fresh bottles of water every day was just what we needed and it made our staying there perfect. Not to mention the bed and the pillows - amazing! We slept divinley. Offcourse the location is also perfect. Thank you for such a good care of your guests dear Broadway Plaza Hotel!

Times Square

Alive with billboards and brightly-lit screens, Times Square is alive with energy. Yellow taxis fly past and tourists pause awestruck to snap photos on their phones. The bustle of New York summed up in one crossroads, every element competes for your attention. It might often be recreated for film and TV, but nothing beats seeing this famous location up close.

    It’s great.

It’s great. Know at any national holiday the terroists could create a riot a riot and go when it’s safe. No national holidays. Remember 9/22 was terroists. Do not dress well and carry nothing expensive on you.

Times Square was everything I hoped for and more.

Times Square was everything I hoped for and more. Even at midnight, it was lit up like daytime. I loved that because it made me feel safe walking around. The massive billboards were mesmerizing, like something out of a movie. Everyone was just being their full, authentic selves, and the energy was so accepting. Even the people who stared were supportive. I randomly photobombed a cute guy and he actually loved it. And yes, I even danced by the red stairs with someone who looked a little down on their luck, and I honestly didn’t care. It was all part of the experience. Times Square has a vibe like no other.

Was excited to see this iconic place and it was as imagined!

Was excited to see this iconic place and it was as imagined! Loads of billboards always changing and the new year countdown clock. There were also a lot of characters who would photo-bomb your photo and then ask you for money - they really put the pressure on so beware.

    Busy, Beautiful at night time!

Busy, Beautiful at night time! We stayed at the Crown Plaza--right next to the subway! Perfect spot to reach almost anything you want to see in the city in just a few minutes ride. It is mostly shopping--gift shops and retail stores. Broadway is right there as well if you enjoy plays. Eat a good beakfast a Jr. Cheesecake! Theres also a few bars around and good resturants.

    why is this even mentioned?

why is this even mentioned? crowded, often dirty, unsurprising and very touristy. if you like neon well maybe but it’s rather gross. exciting maybe for people who’ve never traveled. if you want to be awestruck, go to the 9/11 memorial.

The room was great. Really good aircon and a comfy bed. Small room but that is to be expected in New York. Great rooftop bar. Particularly liked the coffee machine- all hotel rooms should have one. Brilliantly placed for Times Square

Check in was great assistance from Josephine, she noticed it was my birthday weekend and offered a complimentary bottle to my room. I booked a city view and got exactly that! The convenience of being in the heart of Times Square made it easier to get to all the touristy destinations I had planned. Felt safe with separate entrance access and often greeted when coming and going to the hotel.

I’ve stayed at this hotel twice while visiting New York, and it’s definitely a great option. The location is very convenient - right by Times Square and close to everything you might need. The staff, from the guards to the receptionists, was friendly and attentive, which made the stay feel welcoming. The rooms are clean, breakfast and design are quite basic, but still decent for a city stay. Overall, a reliable and pleasant place to stay in the heart of Manhattan.

It was clean, the facilities were well maintained and there was an air conditioner. There were also a lot of nice free activities offered by the hostel (walking tours, parties, bar tours etc). There is also a laundry room with washing and drying machines that can be used for relatively cheap. The location is also nice. (its ~20 minutes train ride from times square) Most importantly though, it is very cheap (compared to new york at least) and is a great deal if you are traveling solo.

The location is fantastic—just a quick 5-minute walk to Times Square, 15 minutes to Koreatown, and easy access to taxis. The rooms were surprisingly quiet for New York City thanks to thick walls, which kept out both street and hallway noise. Beds were very comfortable, and the fast elevators made getting around the hotel quick and convenient.

The spaciousness, quietness, and comfort of my room was exceptional by any standard but especially New York standards. If ever again I can stay here at an affordable price, I will. For people arriving by train at Penn Station, it is a dream. Just 5 minutes from the station and 10 minutes from Times Square. The hotel can reasonably claim to be near Times Square. In fact, you wouldn’t want to be any closer! The views are great on either side. Thank you, Booking.com, for recommending this hotel.
