How well integrated is with nature. The swimming pool is perfect to see animals passing by around 11/12. The proximity is perfect and convenient, the food is good and the staff is very kind and professional. The gym is amazing and super new. And the SPA is top-notch! The masseuse at the SPA were super good! I would encourage you book a massage because between the view and the professionalism of the people is super worth it! Plus if u book it at 11.30am, you have fil view of the elephant passing in front of you.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Service is top notch and food is the best! I loved all my meals there and I stayed there for 3 nights. Breakfast has a huge spread and there’s something different every night for dinner. Huge kudos to Silence and Linda for the best service and meals! Don’t miss the game drives. It’s the best way to see animals in Kruger. The game drives are in Kruger and I got to see leopard, lions and the very elusive wild dogs. Kruger gate is about 20 minutes drive from the lodge (I self drive into the park for my own afternoon drive). Rooms are comfortable and very comfortable beds. You can hear hyenas and lions calling in the middle of the night (although there aren’t any animals on property).

Umkumbe Safari Lodge is a great place to stay if you are looking cut yourself off from the hustle bustle of the city life and spend a couple of nights away from civilization. It is right there admist the wild with very little access to the internet. The game drives provided by the guides & trackers are very informative and they try their best to get you a close view of the Big 5. It is absolutely safe and you will love your experience of the wild with Umkumbe Safari Lodge. They clean the room and prepare your bed twice a day which is awesome.

This train is just the most stunning hotel, the carriage is just amazing, with wonderful views over the river, we even saw a family of hippopotamus crossing from our window. all the food was delicious (on check-in day you have lunch included), chef quality, with an amazing diversity. The games are really nice, we saw 4 of the big fives and at the end of the day they stop in a nice spot for drinks, just perfect for sunset! The quality, beauty, decoration and the staff of the hotel are just top! They even let us do a late check-out! A must go!

The lodge is situated beautifully in the Sabi Sands park and the whole team behind it made the stay very enjoyable. A special thanks to Chloé, our amazing guide, who really went above and beyond for her guests. Her knowledge of the bush and driving skills were really outstanding. If I come back I will request her as my guide. The rooms are a little crowded but beautifully decorated, the staff around meals were superb and the food delicious. I really recommend this lodge and if you go, request Chloé as your guide!
