What a spectacular property. A bird watchers paradise. The cabins are rustic but clean no ac. The highlight are the personable and skilled naturalists who lead the tours. We enjoyed a mangrove tour, bird watching walks and a forest night walk all excellent. Being adjacent to a national park there is also abundant wildlife. The pool and lounge areas are lovely.

Located in Piedras Blancas, Dolphin Quest Jungle Lodge has free WiFi and river views, a few steps from San Josecito Beach. Some units have a terrace and/or a balcony with sea or mountain views.

The property is directly to the beach and has a beautiful garden. You can walk to the restaurant and from our cabin we had a beautiful view to the sea. Julia and Tomas are very kind and very friendly. I loved the time here and wish I could come back again.

This property is the best value for your travel dollar I have ever seen. Such an open and beautiful, wild area, 10 minutes walk from a rockin public beach, 2 minutes from the airport. Macaws and sloths and monkeys in the hotel trees, a bunch of great common areas. A tremendous international experience among great guests. Knowledgeable and helpful owners, making sure everyone is safe, happy and comfortable. We partied into the wee hours, and the hotel is laid out so that nobody was bothered, instead they joined in and encouraged us. Fishing, swimming, beaches, horses, wildlife and honest, kind, hard working Ticos with good food and cold beer make Puerto Jiménez a really remarkable place. This hostel style hotel is the best place I could recommend to experience it. See the Ossa and the Golfo Dulce from here. Don’t forget to grab a sandwich from the bakery on the main strip, that lady can bake bread.

A professionally built treehouse with much attention to detail. We were immersed in the forest canopy while having all the amenities needed for comfortable living. The outdoor kitchenette was useful. The place was safe and secure. A wonderful swimming pool. Very friendly hosts. We saw Squirrel Monkeys travel past as we laid in bed early one morning.

The new tents are amazing, much better accommodations than the fancy resort we’d come from. The beds were unbelievably comfortable, such a good sleep. It was so clean and perfectly decorated. The baskets and storage behind the bed were lovely. Silvina and Dario made us feel like family, the kitchen is lovely but they were opening a state of the art, second kitchen as we left. A beautiful yoga palapa and sunrise from your bed. There is a lovely sand beach just a half minute from the tent. I can’t describe well enough the sense of peace and calm we had there. It’s certainly a magical place, the location and the owners. Howler monkeys serve as wake up, scarlet macaws, so many birds and endless butterflies call this place home. You are surrounded by the beauty of nature and the gentleness of nurture.
