Best place we’ve stayed in all of our travels around Asia!! We were welcomed with open arms and felt like part of the family! TuTu and his mum were so kind and generous as well as giving us great recommendations for things to do while we visited Galle. Location was perfect, out of the busy town but close enough to bike ride or get a local tuk tuk into either Galle or Unawatuna! The room was huge and the bed was so comfy! We chose the Sri Lankan breakfast which was delicious and filling! We didn’t want to leave and would stay again in a heartbeat!

We initially planned a 4-day stay at Samalanka Boutique Hotel, but the captivating allure of this place made leaving impossible, extending our retreat to a full week. Located in a breathtaking locale, the warm hospitality from the staff, Malin (the manager), Sudeera and Sarath, made our experience exceptional. Malin treated us to a nutritious breakfasts featuring fresh fruits, omelet, bread, and spreads. The standout was the exceptional coffee, arguably the best we've had in Sri Lanka. Although the hotel doesn't have a restaurant, Pink Elephant in Unawatuna delivers meals promptly at reasonable prices. The option to use the kitchen for personal cooking is also available. Situated approximately three kilometers from Habaraduwa, the hotel provides easy access to essentials like Cargills, restaurants, and the beach. We opted for scooters from Easy Bike, but the staff is more than willing to arrange tuktuks for convenient transportation. For those seeking a relaxing escape in the South Province of Sri Lanka, we wholeheartedly recommend Samalanka Boutique Hotel!

Everything! The food was absolutely delicious for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Make sure you ask for sri lanka breakfast. The pool is a lovely area to relax and is a lovely temperature and the staff are always on hand for anything you need. Even going as far as getting suncream from the village and bringing us to our next destination. The room was perfect for what we needed. Small but comfortable. Had a nice shower, too. I would 100% recommend this to anyone

This is the perfect place if you want something quiet and relaxed. Everything! The garden, the bungalow with it’s private space outside to chill, the common areas where people got together to drink, eat or just chat… It’s also a 1 minute walk from the beach and literally 30 seconds from awesome coffe shops and restaurants. The hosting family is kind and will help you with anything you need. I had the chance to know more about them and how midigama has evolved in the past 40 years. It was really interesting and they are the sweetest people. Also, 2 great surfing spots just a few minutes walk from the bungalows. I will surely come back! Thanks for everything!
