The staff was kind and helpful, the accommodations were beyond comfortable (seriously, amazing beds and bathrooms), and the experience of living in the bush for a few days was incredible. Guests can enjoy various activities in the surroundings, including horse riding, boat rides, game drives, fishing and canoeing. African Animal Adventure Safaris is 7 km from Thamalakane River Lodge. This was the 5th hotel we stayed in due our 3 week holiday and by far the best. The setting of the hotel is awesome and very well maintanined. The food and service was second to none, the staff were all very good. Every night there was different people arriving at the hotel which kept the evenings fresh with others holiday stories. Thanks to everyone that works in the Thamalakane River Lodge.

Nhabe Museum is 11 km from Island Safari Lodge. Maun Airport is 8 km away, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. I liked that the location is secluded from the town thus giving a very quiet stay. I was able to drive in alone at night and felt safe. The staff was friendly and helpful.

With Krokovango Crocodile Farm reachable in 2 km, Shakawe River Lodge offers accommodation, a restaurant, an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and a shared lounge. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. It was just such a lovely place. Super staff and the Manager went out of his way to make us feel at home. From accommodation to boat rides and having breakfast overlooking the Okavango River was just so special. Wil return without Aa doubt.
