If you would like to discover the area, cycling is possible in the surroundings and the lodge can arrange a car rental service. I absolutely loved the staff and the whole place! Also the whole hotel area was super clean and well taken care of. Beautiful spot right next to the jungle where you can spot monkeys directly from the hotel yard. Also the jungle trek organized by staff was amazing as well as our guide.

It is such a lovely place , so close to the river , with a nice restaurant in the front , and close to everything. We spend perfect 3 days there , visiting both the orang utangs & the batcave (highly recommend !!!) Also the room was super clean , comfy bed , aircon worked . Nothing to complain ! Thanks again!

Breakfast was amazing!!! Included every day and if we wanted something else they would say sure no problem! We did day trips every day, including orangutan treks where the orangutans were so close yet still wild. Very special! Adi our personal guide took us to all excursions and was exceptional about telling us the story of the village, the rainforest, sustainability efforts, he felt like the village elder and was great speaking English! Thank you Adi!!! Mawan, Rudi and Findo also were the most amazing guides, playing with our 4 and 6 year old boys!!! And making every excursion fun!!! Thank you garden Inn for your hospitality!!!

Some units include a terrace and/or a balcony with mountain or river views. Had the best time here. Initially booked for 1 night and then stayed for another 3! They have options of staying in the village or in the jungle, a tree house. I picked the latter. The place is simple and Udin's family that runs the place is amazing. Balu (Udin's son) was our trekking guide for the day and he was amazing. We saw 3 orangutans (a mama and a baby, and a lone one) along with other monkeys. Udin's wife Nuri cooks the food and every meal was lip smacking delicious. I was happy to be eating home food after my travels. On my last night in the village, Nuri was nice enough to give me a chicken rendang cooking class in her kitchen and then we ate the same dish with the entire family. All in all, if you're doing a Bukit Lawang trip it has to be with this family, or else are you really getting the authentic experience?

We were treated like family at on the rocks, wawan and his team were so helpful and friendly that we instantly felt at home. I cannot recommend staying here enough. We did multiple treks with Wong and he was wonderful, so much information to share but also never even felt like he was a guide. Treks can be suited for your fitness level but you are almost guaranteed to see orangutans no matter where you go. The restaurant was also delicious.

Situated in Andalas, 50 km from Hatta Palace, Livio Homestay features accommodation with a terrace, free WiFi and room service. With mountain views, this accommodation provides a balcony.

Towels and bed linen are offered in the lodge. The homestay currently consists of three one-room cabins and a small house w/ a compact kitchen. It’s located in a quiet area away from the busy main road. The owner is a very kind elementary school teacher who lives near the homestay with his family. I stayed in one of the cabins and enjoyed the cleanliness, the hot water in the shower, the excellent WiFi, the exceptional view from the back porch, and the incredible hospitality of the whole family.

A water park is available on site and fishing can be enjoyed within close proximity of the lodge. It's a quiet place..I really enjoyed my stay.. the staff was nice and very easy to deal with upon check in and check out.. its not too far from town..the room was clean also the bathroom..the owner just cleaned the pool only to give fun to my daughter..really appreciate that..will stay with the same homestay if i come again.

The accommodation is set in the forest across the rope bridge close to a transport hub and local shops, cafes where u can buy snack and drinks were u are supporting the local community. The room was clean and well presented the shower had tepid water which is exactly what is required. Mosquito net proved over the bed. The restaurant venue is hi completely constructed with bamboo it is open and airy with a lovely view of the river it also has a great food menu and bar with good service, the Wi-Fi in this area is very good, there is no Wi-Fi in the rooms which we enjoyed :-) Breakfast was nice and plenty of coffee. It’s only a 20m walk down to the river for a lovely swim. We did a single day’s trek in to jungle booked through the hotel after arrival. We walking from the lodge, we saw 5 Orangutans and the Alpha Male plus another 3 different type’s of monkeys all this was in the first few hours, the lunch was nice fruit and rice our guide was Aldo who was young but very professional ( highly recommend) he was smartly dressed fully equipped with a first aid kit ( leeches) and also spoke English it was a pleasure to be in his company. We really enjoyed our stay of 3 nights thanks to all the staff We were also there over the weekend no karaoke from across the river
