perfect location bc was going to Heinabergslón kayak the next morning, and skalafell had better reviews than smyrlabjorg. own half-cabin, very quiet, close to the main lodge where free breakfast is served. easy parking, easy to find, cute little farm dog greets you.

Good place where you can rest during your Aurora hunt and because it's in a remote area, there are chances that you will see it even at the location. (Visited in December)

Breakfast was very good, the cute little lodges were cute and confortable. It was nice to be by the ocean and able to see a sky full of stars.

Its character, and how do you describe that? Modest but comfortable rooms, tiny cafe featuring tasty bites, busy because there are camping facilities along with the lodge, with access to lovely black sand beaches, a nice walk to the sea, Viking Village. The facilities are more humble than we usually book but we loved the character and the “flow.”

Location is good and the shampoo and conditioner are available in the shower, especially the hair conditioners, which is not provided in many lodges.

Spent two nights here whilst exploring glaciers/ diamond beach etc. Lodge was well equipped warm and with comfy beds

This is absolutely the highlight of all of the 6 lodges we have stayed in Iceland and this is the favourate one. Room size is bigger than average and very clean and new. Every room has kitchen which is great. Host is very friendly, we have a great stay.

Amazing food! Really exceptional meal in the evening. Quite a surprise given the slightly dated ski lodge feel of the hotel.

Very nice location. Very friendly service. The wooden house is cute.
