We absolutely loved our 3 nights at Kandalama Lodge. The staff are amazing and spoilt us especially Madushan i.e. Crazy ... Who over delivered in all aspects. Rooms are lovely and better than in photos. Outdoor bathroom fabulous. We ate in each night as the quality and presentation of our meals was exceptional. Pool area so clean and inviting. We really didn't want to leave as we felt so loved especially a birthday cake magically appeared

Both WiFi and private parking are accessible at the lodge free of charge. Perfect place to stay in Kandy. We had a motorbike so getting up the steep road was no problem. Room was very spacious and had lots of areas to chill inside and outside. The view was also spectacular and host was very friendly

Property is run by very welcoming and nice family. We were warmly greeted. Very good breakfast, but too much for us, and they changed it according to our wishes. Also they arranged for us jeep safari in Minerya national park (as per their advice due to elephant's path) and we saw a lot of those incredible animals. Special thanks to Ravi - family member who speaks very good English and advised us for many things.

Five minute walk to highway where there is a supermarket, bakery and cafe. Short Tuktuk ride to the Lion Rock or about 30 minutes walk down the back road to locals entrance.
