If you're a nature lover such as myself you will love this place! The owners, Dulaj and Chamith, are the best hosts you could possibly imagine. Welcoming, all smiles, and extremely helpful. They can arrange a host of things such as transportation, packed lunches and, of course safaris in neighbouring (literally 50 metres away) Yala National Park. The safari, arranged by the brothers, comes highly recommended! We did the full day safari. Very good packed breakfast, yummy lunch and to top it all off we saw elephants and yes, the ever elusive panther! Go for it! Ask Dulaj or Chamith to arrange the safari for you! They know the best guides! As for the accommodation: you will stay in your own private beautiful bungalow. It has all the amenities such as flatscreen TV, WiFi, aircon, coffee /tea, and in the bathroom apart from shampoo, even conditioner, toothpaste etc etc. Wonderful! Each balcony has a veranda with a gorgeous view over the lake. A perfect place to relax in the evenings! If you love nature and if you love a quiet peaceful place, look no further and book the Wadula!

Location was ideal, activities were unbelievable, and the most hospitable hosts imaginable. I will be telling all of my fellow travelers to stay here for a long time to come. Make sure to book their safari. We were lucky enough to have a leopard walk 10ft in front of us and watch a baby elephant and its mom. Although, it still would have been beautiful without seeing any animals. The host mother made us the best curry spread we will probably ever eat for as long as we live.

I highly recommend this place to anyone. This is the place that provided the best service at the lowest price among the places I have visited in Sri Lanka. The staff was very close to us and provided good service. I highly recommend it as the only place that gave the best service for the lowest price.

Very nature based, local food, got to speak to the people in the villages on how they cultivate their crops, went on a very scenic bike ride with friends in the evening with the best views. The RIVER! wow loved every bit of it. We spent around 3 hours here and had a final dip before leaving the next day too. The water flowing over the shoulders felt like a free spa treatment.
