Didn’t expect the room come with little pantry with ricecooker, water kettle, and stove to cook. Plates, cups and utensil for cooking also provided. But they only allow Halal food ya. There is fridge also. Room is very clean and love the sweet pink color room😆 pool is not too deep and have lovely warm temperature. This place is well maintain.

Jason and Gert are sharing a piece of the rainforest to help travelers experience wildlife, insects and plants in their natural habitat. Jason and Gert have created a safe and relaxing environment for all guests to experience true nature. The cabin has wood walls and floors - simple design and furnishings, and so comfortable. There are 2 chairs on the balcony, outside of each room, to enjoy the local flora and fauna. The daily schedule is designed for 2 nights, but we wanted some additional quiet time in the jungle so stayed for 4 nights. Jason made sure that we received different meals for lunch and dinner - he really works to make all meals special! The banana pancakes with homemade caramel sauce is phenomenal! The dining room (with ceiling fans) is also a place that you can hang out - have a coffee, read, play cards, visit and/or observe your surroundings. There is always a pitcher of cold and refreshing water waiting for you. There is a terrace off the dining room (no fans) with benches and small tables - great to look out over the landscape. We went on an amazing evening boat cruise every evening (included in the package). The optional sunrise river cruise starts at 5:30 am - beautiful and quiet (additional small fee). During our cruises, our guide/captain Rodel helped us find Pygmy elephants, crocodiles, hornbills, kingfishers, Silver Leaf monkeys, Proboscis monkeys and macaque monkeys. We absolutely loved our time on the Kinabatangan River! Jason, Gert and staff are so calm, friendly and informative. A once in a lifetime experience/place to enjoy nature and learn about/observe amazing Borneo animals in the wild!

The lodge offers a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with free toiletries, a hairdryer and bidet. For added convenience, the property can provide towels and bed linen for an extra charge. Amazing view with balcony overlooking southern mountains and hills from my room. Tidy & clean, with a decent restaurant on-site so not necessary to drive out to eat. Toiletries are sufficient. Thoughtful details in the room. Pleasantly surprised to find this in such a location.

At the lodge you will find a restaurant serving Chinese, Malaysian and Grill BBQ cuisine. Vegetarian and halal options can also be requested. The accommodation was clean, the bed comfortable, the food delicious and the whole team that looked after us were nice, helpful and attentive. The internet is only in the dining room, but that didn't bother us. The hot water is running, and you can even see wild animals right from the accommodation. And thanks to Mika our guide and Ten Ten, the boat captain, we saw all of Borneo's big five 👍

Vegetarian, dairy-free and halal options can also be requested. Very very well organised and friendly staff! Super cool facility and a Pool to cool down after a hot day!

Kota Kinabalu International Airport is 98 km from the property. The room itself was clean and tidy. It had an amazing view !! We walked to and from town. Close to everything. Good workout walking up and down the driveway. The staff were very friendly and so helpful with any requests. Loved staying here. Would stay again

Some accommodation includes a terrace with mountain views, a fully equipped kitchen and a private bathroom with bidet. Not only was the view from the room amazing, but the lady checking us in and out was so kind and helpful.

If you would like to discover the area, hiking is possible in the surroundings and the lodge can arrange a car rental service. Howard was an exceptional host. From the minute we arrived, he made us feel settled and showed us around the area. He offered to bring us every morning to wherever we wanted to go along the tip of Borneo. The jungle camp itself is so special and there is a great vibe amongst the other travellers. We would have loved to stay longer but we needed to catch the bus to Sandakan (and they don’t go very often!)
