A fridge, a microwave and minibar are also featured, as well as a coffee machine. Beautiful location overlooking the valley and river. Very quiet in the woods. Great hospitality by the owner. They provided a nice breakfast delivered to our treehouse door each morning. We also ordered their charcuterie board and wine for dinner one night. It was fantastic. Lots of cheeses, meats, nuts , fish, bread and more. We had enough for 2 nights. Would recommend to those wanting a unique experience in a natural setting.

Featuring river views, Solar do Cávado in Vieira do Minho features accommodation, a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, a shared lounge, a terrace, a restaurant and a bar. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. The view was great! The food was good so we didn't have to drive every night for dinner. Bar on premises. Everything was fabulous. Too bad they don't accept dogs. :-(

This is a place we will come back to again and again. At every turn we were enveloped in unexpected flavours, (the food is in itself 5 star quality), kindness, decor (Keren’s design of this place soothes and delights), and pleasure. The best hotel experience we have ever had.

Nossa Senhora da Peneda Sanctuary is 4.8 km from the lodge. The perfect base camp for exploring nature and for hikes in the National Park, exactly what we were looking for. In the middle of the forest, quiet and remote, so perfect. So thankful for Amadeu's kindness and generosity has a host, he made our stay even better.

A sun terrace is available on site and fishing can be enjoyed within close proximity of the lodge. The location is exceptional really beautiful. With great walking and a gorgeous swimming spot. The cottage also has a shared garden to relax in where you can here the river and look at the mountains. The host Bernardino is great, really welcoming he leaves basic supplies in accommodation and offers a free welcome drink. He gave us great recommendations for walking and on the day we left we had a flat car battery and he helped organise a mechanic to get us started . He even checked we arrived home safely. Thank you

Really enjoyed my stay – the room was a great size, the location was perfect for visiting family, and the self-catering setup suited us perfectly.
