The highest level of all details, the team hospitality was amazing.     This little Venetian retreat entirely does away with the usual trappings of Venetian hotels. No clinging to outdated ideas of luxury -- as in some of the chains and faux 4/5* offerings. Instead, a beautiful walled garden awaits overlooking the intersection of two waterways, with rooms superbly well-realised with a serene, homely yet luxurious atmosphere throughout. Service is personal and impeccable for the most part. The location puts you in the heart of Cannaregio and the lively rio della Misericordia.
