This has to be one of the greatest experiences I've ever had in a resort or hotel. The location is absolutely beautiful, and the rooms are super spacious and clean. The tubs on the balcony are lovely, the beds and pillows are incredibly comfortable. The breakfast buffet is fantastic and super impressive, catering to both Japanese and Western cuisine with the most incredible wide selection I've seen. Dinner was absolutely fantastic, with both the courses and the seafood buffet being exceptional. Among all the hotels I've stayed at, this place has the friendliest staff, catering to your every need. They offer a free shuttle bus to Gora Station as well as free ice cream from the vending machines. They have two onsen: one with an infinity pool and a fantastic view, and a garden one with a beautiful waterfall. I cannot recommend this place enough; we had the most fantastic stay ever.

The room is beautiful and full of characters, there is a lovely garden too where you hear the frogs, you really get to experience traditional aesthetic and atmosphere there. The room did feel quite big for a solo traveller. The staff are very attentive and helpful, Yamada san speaks excellent Chinese which makes the communication smooth, they also went out of their way to make arrangements for me to visit various places. The food was also very thoughtful and fresh.

Loved the location. The service was impeccable. And the food was sublime and delicious. The hotel was a mix of old and new. Fabulous art and furniture. The staff couldn't do enough and suggested that as the firework festival was taking place that evening..we could have dinner earlier and taxi service would be arranged. We especially loved our private onsen overlooking the bay. Can't wait to return. Only an hour from Tokyo!!
