Luxury Hotels in Masai Mara

I booked PrideInn myself, which is not a typical move at Masai Mara (usually a tour provider would sort everything out for you for a hefty fee), so I was prepared for things to be a little patchy. Instead, PrideInn defied my expectations at every turn, and ensured that everything was as smooth and seamless for me and my group. Service is outstanding, from the frontperson (Edison and Sylvia), the restaurant staff (Ambani and Dominic) to the guards, the cleaning personnel, waiters, chefs and bartenders. No one spared a smile or a kind gesture and were committed to meet us in our needs and special requirements. Rooms (whether tents or cottages) were exceedingly comfortable and well equipped — proper mattresses, thick blankets, clean towels, toileteries offered, plenty of power outlets, sufficient lighting, hot water (actually hot) running without an issue. Common areas strategically located by the Talek river are a delight. Food was plentiful and delicious. Something for every taste. I am vegan and never found myself wanting; chef was there to answer my questions on ingredients and special dietary requests were met within minutes. Ambani took care of organizing for us a packed breakfast for our esrly morning game drive, making sure that every box was marked with name and packed with the specific things we had selected the night before. For a person with high standards is such a joy to leave an accommodation without a qualm or complaint, only with the certainty that I will come back.

We visited this place with my husband and six of our friends. It was our first experience in Kenya and I must say it was absolutely excellent. We got a little lost on the way to Masai Mara and the helpful owner navigated us online the whole time and also picked us up for the final few kilometers to our accommodation. The last two kilometres are on a really bumpy road but can be done by jeep and even by car. All the time everyone was nice, friendly and gave us their utmost attention. The accommodation was great - we always had hot water in the shower, everything was beautifully clean. And the food... We enjoyed everything the local chef cooked, there was a huge choice and no one left hungry. They looked after us like we were their own. On the penultimate day they had a surprise for us in the form of dancing masai and it was a wonderful experience. Plus, my friends and I enjoyed swimming in the pool in the evening, which was awesome, especially after each day we were on safari. By the way, the entrance to the park is just a few minutes away from our accommodation. I am reviewing from the perspective of a traveler who has visited over 80 countries, we are not looking for luxury and five stars hotel, I like nice and relaxed accommodation and people. A full fledged 5* experience in the middle of the wilderness (Maara). Dominic and his team were very accommodating to all our needs and also comped us upto a better room and mostly a private safari and dining as we were honeymooning. Special mention to Moses and David, the restaurant managers and their team including Ben, Reagen, Hezron, Kelvin and all others. My wife is vegetarian and they went out of their way to make sure she was looked after and had plenty of delicious options. Chef David made every meal special and Moses and his team make sure everyone is well fed! Our safari guide, Danson left no stone unturned to show us all that the Maara had to offer. He was also incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife there, quick facts and ofcourse his driving over the rugged surrounds. All in all, the experience was very catered to our needs and we could not have asked for a more memorable stay!
