This has been one of our best travel experiences. The entire team are exceptional hosts - warm, friendly, attentive. They work so hard to make this a nice stay for everyone, no matter your age or background. La Masia has different types of rooms, and we had one of the smaller standard rooms. It was cozy and peaceful, and the space outside is just fabulous. There are multiple benches and hammocks to hang out, or you just roam the beautiful garden with its trees full of birds, or have a chat with one of the staff (which was possible despite our bad Spanish!) They also have a good kitchen, with a hearty Colombian breakfast in the morning and solid Colombian dishes in the evening. And someone is always there to make you a coffee or tea in the afternoon and tell you to relax. Note that this hotel is located a bit outside of the town of Salento - but that makes it even better. You will not find the same peace in the town after a day of hiking or exploration. It's absolutely worth paying an Uber/ Taxi. There is a kiosk nearby where you can buy snacks and water, or you walk to the main road to grab a bite. It's a safe and village-like community where everyone greets you on the way. The hotel is absolutely incredible and the rooms are so cozy. The breakfast is really good and you can choose from a lot of options. The staff is fantastic and very helpful too. I forgot an item at the hotel and they posted it back to me. Thank you!!

Super friendly, helpful and funny staff. The hostel is designed like a spacious hotel complex. It is located away from the hustle and bustle of the city in the countryside but is easily and cheaply accessible with regular jeeps. In the morning you can hear lots of birds, cozy and well furnished.

Very good location close to the main square. Host is very friendly, he arranged for us taxi transfer from airport. We don't speak Spanish, host doesn't speak English but with translator everything was great.

Very very nice hostel in Salento, close to the center of the town, but enough far to not be disturbed by music or noise. The kitchen was well equiped. The room has a small locker for valuables, the beds were quite comfortable and each one had an electric plug. The staff was super super nice!
