The place was spotless, and the digital entry made everything so simple. I really appreciated being able to check in before arriving—it’s much better than standing outside waiting for a code. The bed was very comfortable, and having air conditioning was an absolute lifesaver during the 38-degree heat the week we stayed.

This is our second stay with Tatjana and Ludwig, this time with kids. Gruner Baum is the perfect spot in the the Black Forest and everything about it, from the clean and comfortable rooms, the view of the forest and the delicious breakfast, are unmatched. Tatjana and Ludwig are gracious, entertaining and funny. They were always available to help with anything we needed. Highly recommended for couples or families. Tatjana, next time will be sooner than 11 years!

A great studio apartment in Bleibach, a quiet village on the train 40 mins from Freiburg and easy to access nature. We stayed for four nights. Notably extremely well equipped with high quality kitchen equipment, lacking nothing. We were super impressed. I communicated with the host on whatsapp (in poor German) and everything went extremely well, speaking briefly in person. We'd happily stay here again.
