Excellent experience overall. Great service by the hotel manager Mr Samir who made sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. His operations management is on an international level, fast and efficient. Follow-up before checking in was good by Ahmed who made sure we had all necessary information and booked the pickup car for us. The hotel staff are friendly and welcoming. Their cuisine is superb. Excellent food and drinks quality. Their tagines meals and hot Oreo drink are a must try. The design of the place is authentic Nubian with great decorations done by Somaia. The rooms are spacious and right above the Nile so you can enjoy a splendid sunrise from the room's terrace. Definitely visiting Dolty Kato again!

The host was amazingly friendly, even inviting us to his nieces engagement party while we were there and we got to experience some authentic Nubian food! The location is great, much quieter than staying on the east bank but also just a short and very cheap ferry ride over to the hustle and bustle. The room was nice and clean with a bathroom, ceiling fan, heaps of cupboard space, supplied towels and a really comfy bed. Would definitely reccomend!

The owner really cared, follow up our arrival and also arranged for us a taxi to fetch us from the dinner that he suggested and provide boat to the homestay and also help to pay cash for the my dinner because I'm cashless. Next day I settle everything with cash after check out. The breakfast was good.

Location was on Elephantine island surrounded by the Nile, which was a beautiful experience by itself. The room is quiet and comfortable. The best thing was the staff, one of the kindest, most helpful and cheerful I've stayed with. Abdul Baqi, Mustafa, Abo Abdulla, and Mohamed, thank you very much. You made my stay in beautiful Aswan perfect.

The owners went above and beyond, from meeting us as we got off the boat, to organising breakfast, laundry, a fascinating walk around the island to learn about Nubian culture, very fairly priced transport to Abu Simbel, a tour of sites and temples around Aswan, and even high tea at the Old Cataract Hotel with the best table and a perfect sunset view. The accommodation itself was simple but clean, with fans and good AC. As we had booked both rooms, it meant we had the kitchen and living room completely to ourselves, as well as the outdoor terrace which looks directly onto the Nile. It was a nice spot to catch sunrise in the morning or hang out in the evening. Elephantine island is a great base for Aswan - it's quiet with no cars or hassle, but the small boats to the mainland run all day and night and only take a few minutes if you do need to get across. It felt so different to anywhere else that we stayed in Egypt and I would definitely stay here again.

    Best value in Aswan if not Egypt. Opted for a Tent with Futon on the roof, which provided a wonderful view of the Nile and southern section of Elephant island . Very good breakfast and ample parking . Its a 15/20 minute walk to the Nile and Souk area of Aswan.

    The hotel is on the island, opposite the pier near KFC. The one-way ferry fee is 10P per person in peak season. Our car was parked in the parking lot near KFC, and there were often no parking spaces at night. The house itself is clean and tidy and the staff are friendly.
